Sorry to disappoint you, but exercise is SO IMPORTANT!! Take note - this doesn't mean you need to make yourself go to a gym. There's no one-size-fits-all setting for exercise. The most important thing is moving your muscles and getting your heart rate up.

Instead of forcing yourself to suffer through a workout you don't enjoy, it's best to find the types of exercise you enjoy doing. It can be running, cycling, yoga, pilates, dancing, kickboxing, weight training, or whatever - as long as you MOVE! Keep an open mind, try new things, and really try to notice what makes you feel good. One thing that's really nice about the time we live in is that you can find all sorts of ideas on YouTube, and tons of free workouts to try! I highly recommend researching different exercises and trying the ones that sound interesting and appropriate for your skill level (remember to take it slow and work your way up).
Regular exercise improves circulation, boosts mood and immunity, maintains mobility, and prevents most common causes of death in the US. It's one of the best lifestyle changes to add in when you're dealing with health issues (ability permitting). Ultimately, it prolongs a healthy life. So instead of giving in to a future of difficulty getting around, why not just fit in a bit of time exercising each week?
Don't have time to start a thorough workout routine, so what's the point? The article below states that "exercising even two days a week might offer benefits" so don't get discouraged! Exercise doesn't need to be "all or nothing", as long as you put in some time every week to work on yourself and maintain movement in your body. You'll be able to notice a difference in how you feel with just 2 days a week of exercise and you'll thank yourself for it!
